OUT OF THE ASHES: A story of courage, faith, and human dignity that shines a light on a crisis the world can no longer ignore.

Growing up with albinism in a fractured Montreal home, Peter Ash knew what it meant to be different. But he could never have imagined the nightmare faced by children with albinism (albinos) in Tanzania - feared as “ghosts,” hunted by witch doctors, and forced into hiding to survive.

When a BBC exposé revealed the truth, Peter felt compelled to act, beginning a journey that would change his life and theirs.

Out of the Ashes weaves Peter’s story with the firsthand accounts of Tanzanian children who survived unimaginable violence. As their paths converge, a powerful truth emerges: personal pain can become purpose, and one life can help transform a forgotten community.
